Smuha: Amarillo
Double New England IPA
We continue our highly acclaimed series of hazy double IPA called Smuga. This time we used loads of popular American Amarillo hops. We generously added it to whirlpool and dry hopping (no boil additions to achieve that mild taste without excessive bitterness), and the taste came out as wonderful as it could – slightly grassy and fruity with notes of mandarin, grapefruit, peach and strawberry. The hop profile fits perfectly both with the dense and fairly sweet malt base and hazy yellow colour of this heavenly drink.
