Smuha: BRU-1
Double New England IPA
Come and give us even more hops! This time we are after BRU-1, not that it’s a super new variety, but it’s the first time we put our hands on it. Developed in the cradle of American Hops – Yakima valley – by John I. Haas company and Brulotte Farms, it’s full of alpha acids (thus, pretty bitter). We decided to use this hops in our series of hazy and juicy Double IPAs Smuha, and see, if we can tame the bitterness of this beast. We get the nose of pineapple, citrus and stone fruit jelly, maybe even some subtropical herbs, if you will. It’s a real pleasure to share this wonderful brew with all of you.
