Our most unusual series dedicated to dishes from all over the world get a new iteration with Belarusian mushroom soup. The mere fact that all groups of mushrooms are found in Belarus suggests that they are an integral part of everyday life. For many of us, a trip to the forest to pick up some mushrooms becomes the most anticipated sign of summer and autumn, and the role of mushrooms in our cuisine is even more difficult to assess.
The new Strava has a rich malt body with caramel malt playing a major role. The beer has fantastic bronze-almond color and a sweet malty taste. A mushroom aroma with hints of wood, moss and light earthiness clearly breaks through it. Of course we did not forget to add some salt to our soup, so a slight saltiness and astringency rounds it up beautifully. The aftertaste is super clean, with caramelised mushrooms shining through, slightly sweet and salty at the finish. Is it a drink? Is it a meal? It’s definitely both!
