Pavietra: Hallertau Blanc
New England Pale Ale
If we’d been told before that we’d be using German hops in our hazy IPAs, we’d probably have smiled. But this is the second year we’ve been using the interesting modern German hop Hallertau Blanc and we’re really enjoying how it unfolds differently in juicy American ales. White grape skin, lemon balm, thyme and black currant leaves create an unusual bouquet of aromas in our light and cloudy spring New England Pale Ale, and the low alcohol content makes it a great companion on long spring evenings.
