Last year, we successfully launched a new series of imperial stouts infused with various types of coffee, and now we’d like to share the new iteration with you. This time we used an Ethiopia Limu Edeto micro lot, which was prepared for us by our friends Kitchen Coffee Roasters, who import and roast all their coffee themselves. This African arabica is characterized by pure acidity and a fluffy velvety body. The tropical profile with hints of pineapple, papaya and lychee dominates in the smell, while strawberry and black currant move to the front when you make that first sip. We did our best to preserve all this goodness of freshly roasted coffee to our beer, which has a dense roasty base with a rather sweet malt body. Oh boy this is hell of a treat!
