We have been longing to brew a beer with our friends from the Jungle Brewery for a very long time – and finally brought the idea to life! We’ve chosen to brew an imperial stout (oh we love imperial stouts!) together, but gave it a twist to make it even more fun. Belarus, most part of which is covered with swamps, is rich in peat, and is one of the main peat producers in Europe. It is actively used in our country as fuel and fertilizer, while, for example, in Scotland, it is also used to dry malt, which then gives famous scotch whiskey its unforgettable smell and taste. So, waiting no longer, we decided to use peated malt as the base of our stout. It filled the beer with pronounced smokiness and characteristic phenolic profile with hints of creosote. Accompanied by thick and strong body, this is really an outstanding drink that will appeal to lovers of train journeys and long evenings outside with a glass of tasty and complex beer.
