Our beloved series of imperial oatmeal stouts under the name Chmara now get treated to some time and oak. This version was brewed with plenty of dark and specialty malts, fluffy oats, fermented slow and steady, and then went to freshly emptied calvados barrel to rest for more than a year. This a wonderful sticky syrup with aromas of freshly baked cinnamon apple pie, fragrant blooming apple orchards and a hint of roasted coffee beans. It works like a time and space machine, transferring you to rolling hills of French Brittany with its endless apple tree groves, some of them long forgotten and abandoned, but still fresh, fragrant and calming.
