In our ongoing lager trip, we are looking for more and more challenging ideas. Therefore, the next one in our range of the classic Czech-style pilsners is the Czech Desítka. A light session lager with an initial density of 10 Plato (hence the name – ten), which usually does not exceed 4.2% alcohol, surprises with its fantastic balance of bitterness and fullness of taste. This time we used Belarusian malt in combination with the famous Czech Saaz hops (or, as the Czechs themselves call it, žatecký poloraný červeňák). Long aging at low temperatures for ten weeks, fragrant Czech hops with aromas of dried herbs and cool spring water, a straw-colored malt base with a subtle aroma of freshly baked bread together create a real miracle. It seems that it will be impossible to stop at just one glass!
