Pilsner: Nord

As the cooler season approaches our lands, we head north on our lager trips to the chilly Baltic coasts of Germany. There is something mysterious in that water, in that climate, in those people, which makes these northern pils so bright, bitter, crisp and distinctly mineral. In our variation of this interesting variety, together with the usual hop pellets, we used the German Magnum hop extract to give this pils an even more distinct and clean bitterness without excess flavors and aromas of green grass. A classic long lagering time, a reliable German yeast strain and an original combination of hops create a restrained but beautiful drink with aromas of wild meadows, juicy lemon peel and salty sea water.
