We’re continuing our lager journey and this time we’re releasing something completely out of the ordinary. After several light pilsners, we decided to follow the dark route and brewed a Czech-style dark lager, generously hopped with aromatic Žatec hops. But the thirst for the strange and beautiful forced us to turn from the familiar paths, and we added beech-smoked wheat malt to our dark lager, which revealed interesting character of German smoked lagers from Franconia. Already usual for us, long lagering at low temperatures made it surprisingly balanced, and non-standard ingredients added complexity to the well-known taste of wet soil in the spring forest, the smell of misty evening fires and the pleasant sweet aroma of the first flowers. Na zdraví!
