Smuha: Citra

The word citra may arouse different assotiations, but oh boy this is a hop we love. Its name clearly assotiates with lemons and grapefruits, and these fruit kick with aroma and flavour. Citra is a great choice for hazy and fragrant IPAs. No surprise we decided to make our next single-hop Hazy IPA with it. As always, this is a beer of opaque yellow color with delicate white foam. The brightest citrus bursts in the aroma, then gives way to tropics – hints of mango, guava, lychee. The taste is refreshingly layered with the tones of lemon balm and lime peel, and warming – don’t forget that this is a double NEIPA. You can feel hints of vanilla and restrained hop bitterness in the aftertaste, but this one is a citrus juice for sure.
