We all have been waiting for so long, but the new Smuha is back! This time we used an experimental hop developed by the Hop Breeding Company, which is still codenamed as HBC 472. It has a wild origin from the American autochthonous Neomexicanus hops, which clearly influenced the aromatic characteristics of HBC 472. Just like it’s genetically close sibling Sabro, it has a pronounced coconut profile in addition to the usual floral and tropical aromas. Some woody-vanilla tones are also characteristic of HBC 472, which distinguishes it from more familiar hop varieties. All this luxury went strait into our new Smuha, for your (and our) enjoyment. This beer is deeply hazy yellow, delicate white foam laces the glass beautifully, and the fluffy and juicy body makes us fall in love with it. Let’s make the Neomexicanus hops the new Mosaic and Citra, shall we?
